D’Angelo, Harjai top NCAA pre-zone golf
Notre Dame’s Freddie D’Angelo carded a 36-33-69 at Twenty Valley Monday to win the individual boys title at the Niagara Catholic Athletic Association pre-zone golf tournament.
Saint Michael’s Sukriti Harjai fired an impressive 34-38-72 to top the girls division.
Winning the boys team title with a 315 total was Blessed Trinity. Making up the team were Jason Maloney (37-40-77), Ethan Siebert (36-41-77), Cristian Bate (37-41-78), Jackson Strecker (41-42-83) and Mathew Hayne (40-44-84). Notre Dame was second at 316 and Saint Michael was third at 328.
Completing the top five in the girls division were Saint Paul’s Susan Leone (44-41-85), Denis Morris’ Emily White (48-46-94) and Notre Dame’s Jane Jarret (54-53-107), Sydney Patton (55-54-109) and Sierra Gaspari (53-56-109).
Rounding out the top five in the boys division was Saint Michael’s Blake Pingue (38-36-74), Notre Dame’s Mathew Martel (35-39-74), Maloney and Siebert.
