Logan Iliffe and Devon Rayment won their first kart features of the season this past Tuesday at the Merrittville Speedway.
Iliffe placed first in the Superior PetroFuels Junior Restricted Division and Rayment won the Southern Ontario Modified Lite Racing Association Senior Animal Division.
Welland’s Lenny Wiley won his second straight Wilder Racing Engines Senior Fun Feature, Nigel Pendykoski of Niagara Falls captured his seventh St. Catharines Discount Auto Parts Junior 2 Win and Ben Colavecchia of Welland won his eighth RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1 Feature.

KENESKY 14TH
Twenty Valley head pro Ron Kenesky fired rounds of 73 and 75 at Black Bear Golf Club in Belleville to tie for 14th at the Ontario PGA’s Ontario Zone championship.
Kenesky earned $775 for his efforts.
Niagara-on-the-Lake head pro Billy Simkin finsihed 31st after rounds of 78 and 75.
JUNIOR GIRLS AND BOYS MATCH PLAY
Two local golfers were eliminated on the first day of play at the Ontario junior girls match play championship at the Midland Golf and Country Club.
Twenty Valley’s Peyton Bennett lost 3&1 to Blue Springs’ Sarah Gallagher and Dunnville’s Sasha Baker fell 3&2 to Rattlesnake Point’s Ella Webber.
At the Ontario junior boys match play event at the Tangle Creek Golf and Country Club, Lookout Point’s Freddy D’Angelo lost 1 up to Anton Hung
