Junior hockey roundup: IceDogs dominated Bulldogs; Junior B results

A solid couple of practices paid immediate dividends as the Niagara IceDogs dominated the Hamilton Bulldogs 10-0 in Ontario Hockey League action in St. Catharines Thursday.
The IceDogs worked out hard with close to their full lineup in practice this week after a subpar showing last week that saw them drop two of three games.
Niagara jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period and the buried the Bulldogs with six more in the second.
Captain Ben Jones led the offensive onslaught with three goals while Kyen Sopa and Philip Tomasino added two each. Jacob Paquette, Jack Studnicka and Akil Thomas also scored while Jason Robertson chipped in with four assists.
Stephen Dhillon made 21 saves for the shutout and also picked up a pair of assists.
The IceDogs improved to 25-10-7-2 and lead the Sudbury Wolves by four points atop the Central Division.
The IceDogs are home to the Flint Generals (8-33-3) Saturday and then travel to Guelph (23-12-0-4-4) for a Sunday matinee.
Ice cubes: Tomasino and former IceDogs Billy Constantinou have been selected to play in the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game next Wednesday in Alberta.
JUNIOR B
Newcomer Evan Miller collected three goals an assist as the Thorold Blackhawks defeated the visiting Welland Junior Canadians 7-1 in Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, Golden Horseshoe Conference action at the Thorold Arena Thursday.
Nicholas Rubino, Jonah Devereaux, Sam VanderZalm and Trevor Neumann also scored for the Blackhawks. Devon Thibodeau added three assists.
Jason Horvat replied for the Junior Canadians.
Noah Fortuna kicked out 34 shots in goal for the win.
The Blackhawks improved to 15-18-1-2 with the win.
The Junior Canadians fell to 8-25-0-3.
Meteors 5 Regals 4
Drew Passero scored with 15 seconds remaining in regulation to give the visiting Fort Erie Meteors a 5-4 victory over the Lockport Regals Wednesday.
Nathan Reichel, Cail Cirillo, Brady Lee and Alex McTeer added singles for the Meteors who rallied from a 3-1 deficit.
Luke MacLeod, Tim Lopez, A.J. Marinelli and Alex Stinis scored for the Regals who fell to 4-32-1-0.
Fort Erie snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 10-23-0-3.a
