Weekend Golden Horseshoe roundup
The Pelham Panthers got into the win column for the first time this season with a 7-4 victory over the Fort Erie Meteors in Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, Golden Horseshoe Conference action Sunday.
Lucas Smith paced the Panthers with two goals while Cody Miskolczi, Ben McChesney, Julian Bianchi, Dylan Biggar and Evan Gibbs added singles.
Jayden Baldinelli, Paul Cartone, Luca Mazzo and Cail Cirillo replied for the Meteors, who remain winless at 0-4.
Nicholas Kidd made 18 saves in net for the win.
Dalton McBride kicked out 26 saves in the loss for the Mets.
Junior Canadians 4 Regals 4 2 OT
The Welland Junior Canadians picked up their first point of the season with a 4-4 tie at home Sunday versus the Buffalo Regals.
Adam Morgan, Jarome Myers, Josh DiFrancesco and Matt Baumann scored for Welland.
Ryan Messing and Michael Barker netted two each for the Regals, who rallied from a 4-2 deficit after two.
Jagger Maving made 47 saves in net for the Regals.
Kevin Linker kicked out 36 shots for Welland.

Canucks 5 Meteors 1
Owen Holmes collected two goals as the visiting Niagara Falls Canucks defeated the Fort Erie Meteors.
Jake Burke, Thomas Lenart and Eric Becker also scored for the Canucks. Matthew Riva and Andrew Bruneau chipped in with three assists each.
Blake Riddall had the lone goal for Fort Erie.
Anthony Tremonte made 27 saves for the win.
Jacob Hearn faced 55 shots in goal for the Meteors.
Corvairs 6 Junior Canadians 2
Six players scored as the Caledonia Corvairs defeated the visiting Welland Junior Canadians.
Tyler Burnie, Joel Mazzilli, Cole Csorbay, Henry Scott, Eric Guest and Kessler Skye had the Caledonia goals.
Morgan and Myers scored for Welland.
Harrison Fleming needed to only make 13 saves for the win.
