The Welland Shadow Auto Tigers minor atom A hockey team improved to 4-0 in divisional play last week with decisive victories over the West Niagara Atom AE Flying Aces and Glancaster Atom A Bombers.
In a 7-1 win over West Niagara, Thomas Russel earned the victory in goal and points were scored by Liam Seguin (3-1-4), Ryan Rousseau (0-3-3), Ethan Rousseau (2-1-3), Jordan Hotham (1-0-1) and Dylan Wood (1-0-1),
In the win over Glancaster, Jackson Gallagher-Temple earned the victory in net and points were contributed by Ethan Rousseau (2-0-2), Ryan Rousseau (1-1-2), Antonio Mete (0-2-2), Brayden Farr (1-0-1), Blake Hudak (1-0-1) and Liam Seguin (0-1-1).
Minor peewees double Stoney Creek
The Welland 91.7 Giant FM/Country 89 Tigers minor peewee A hockey team improved to 3-0 in league play with a 4-2 victory over the Stoney Creek major peewee AE Warriors in a battle of undefeated teams.
Carson McComber, Tanner Cutler, Mason Risto and Tyler Laszlo scored for Welland.
Major peewee As blank Port Colborne
The Welland Telus Tigers major peewee A hockey team pushed its record to 4-1 in league play with a 7-0 shutout of the visiting Port Colborne Sailors.
Dayton Flatt and Ryan Reeves each scored twice for Welland and singles were netted by Alexander McQuillan, Josh Lamb and Blake Turner.
Flatt, Jordan Raso, Austin Gulla, Tyler Ray, McQuillan, Jaxon Vanderlip, Turner and Sean Sinclair all picked up assists and Lukas Biggar recorded his second straight shutout.
