Weekend junior B roundup
The St. Catharines Falcons ran off their fourth straight victory and moved into third place with a 6-2 victory over the Buffalo Regals in Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, Golden Horseshoe Conference action Sunday in Buffalo.
Carson Edwardson and Curtis Egert paced the Falcons with two goals each while Trent Glenney and Noah Blakely also scored. Xavier Drummond and Andrew Somerville chipped in with three assists each.
Hunter Litman and Nolan Slachetka scored for Buffalo.
Ethan Cook made 23 saves in net for the win.
The Falcons, 11-5-1, are home to the Niagara Falls Canucks Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. and in Niagara Falls Friday.
Kilty B’s 4 Panthers 0
Justin Easter made 21 saves for the shutout as the visiting Hamilton Kilty B’s blanked the Pelham Panthers 4-0 Sunday afternoon.
Ellis Rickwood, Terry Bridgland, Jacob Macdonald and Cameron Gauvreau scored for Hamilton.
Harrison Flemming made 48 saves in goal for the Panthers.
Corvairs 7 Junior Canadians 2
Ryan Littlejohn and Tyler Burnie scored two goals each as the visiting Caledonia Corvairs defeated the Welland Junior Canadians Sunday.
Noah Caperchione, Zach Mannazzone and Ryan Wells added singles while Nick McHugh picked up four assists.
Philippe Angervil and Joshua McVeigh replied for the Junior Canadians.
Nick Clay made 13 saves for the win.
Nicholas Kidd was busy in goal for Welland, kicking out 60 shots.

Corvairs 7 Canucks 3
The Corvairs broke open a close game with four goals in the second en route to a 7-3 win at home over the Niagara Falls Canucks Saturday at home.
Burnie, McHugh and Joel Mazzilli had two goals each for the winners while Caperchione added one. Wells contributed five assists.
Jake Burke, Anthony Issaris and Justin Schneider scored for the Canucks.
Anthony Tremonte made 52 saves in goal for the Canucks.
Blackhawks 3 Meteors 2 OT
Nick Gidney scored less than two minutes into overtime as the visiting Thorold Blackhawks edged the Fort Erie Meteors.
Trevor Neumann and Brad Ditillio also scored for the Hawks.
Anthony Gigliotti and Jake Mooring replied for the Mets.
Noah Fortuna made 28 saves to earn the win.
