Niagara Christian’s athletic award winners
Basketball player Emma Winger and badminton player Crystal Sze were named Niagara Christian Collegiate’s fall and winter performers of the season.
Also nominated for the fall were cross country athletes David Osorio and Neil Wangler and soccer player Cedric Osagie.
Also nominated for the winter were basketball player Wangler and volleyball player Winger.
Winning the school’s team of the year award was the senior boys basketball team. The squad won an Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations A bronze medal. Also nominated were the senior girls basketball team, the cross country squad and the ultimate team.

Winter Principal’s Award: basketball player Dayo Williams, winner; Jason Okpere, Billy Lee and Shiho Sasaki, nominees.
Fall X-factor Award: basketball player Samira Mohammadi Rea, winner; Qudus Sose, Cedric Osagie and Ladi Aganaga, nominees.
Winter X-factor Award: badminton players Nigel Tan and Curtis Kwan, winners; Hugo Yu and Ryan Du, nominees.
Fall Sugisaki Service Award: basketball player Sydney Blue, winner; Ronnie Min, Sebastian Schmidt and Nadeeja Fernando, nominees.
Winter Sugisaki Service Award: badminton player Jaquekine Tse, winner; Adam Chan and Natsuki Hibi, nominees.
Fall Rookie of the Year Award: cross country runner Lizze Berkhout, winner; Kenchoni Otono, Toby Chow and Temidayo Okeniyi, nominees
Winter Rookie of the Year Award: basketball player Ladi Aganga; Howard Chan and Bond Yeung, nominees.
