IceDogs games postponed
The Christmas break has started a little early for the Niagara IceDogs.
Due to COVID-19 protocols affecting the team, the Ontario Hockey League announced Niagara’s game Friday in Sudbury and Saturday at home to the North Bay Battalion Hockey Clubs have been postponed.
A press release was issued saying the OHL and the IceDogs will not be providing comment at this time. The league will provide an update on the matter as information becomes available.
Both games will be rescheduled at a later date.
Fans who have tickets for the game Saturday can either hold on to their tickets and use them for the rescheduled game (date and time TBD), or redeem them at the IceDogs front office during operating business hours for any other remaining regular season home game based on available seating.
The IceDogs, who are last overall with a 7-16-0-1 mark, are scheduled to play again New Year’s Eve at home to the Peterborough Petes.
As well, as of Jan. 4, 2022, QR codes will be the only acceptable way to provide proof of vaccination to enter games, along with matching government issued ID. The original vaccination receipts will no longer be accepted. Medical exemptions must also be a QR code.
