The Niagara IceDogs completed their third trade of the week Thursday, sending forward Brenden Sirizzotti to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in exchange for a third-round draft pick in 2026 and an eighth-round draft pick in 2023.
Sirizzotti, a 19-year-old winger, had seven goals and 21 points in 23 games for Niagara.
“The IceDogs would like to thank Brenden for his service and dedication during his time in Niagara,” assistant general manager Wes Consorti said. “We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
The Whitby native was acquired by Niagara in a trade with the Ottawa 67’s in January of 2022.
Niagara owner/general manager Darren DeDobbelaer has now completed 15 transactions since the start of training camp.
Centre Michael Podolioukh and forward Zakary Lavoie, picked up in deals Monday, are expected to make their IceDogs debut Saturday when Niagara plays host to the Sudbury Wolves in the final game before the Christmas break.
The IceDogs are 20th in the Ontario Hockey League with a 7-16-3 record, three points behinds the Wolves.
