Impressive showing for Niagara’s track athletes
Maeva Scipio highlighted a strong showing by Niagara athletes July 26-28 at the Athletics Ontario U14, U16, U18 Championships at Chinguacousy Park in Brampton.
The Thorold Elite Track Club member won two individual gold medals, one individual bronze medal and two silver medals as part of relay teams. Amairah Gayle and TJ Woods of Thorold Elite also earned two individual gold medals. Thorold Elite won two division titles: the U14 title for the fifth straight year and U16 for the third time.
More than 1,400 athletes took part in the event which is the largest track and field club championship in Ontario
