RIVER LIONS GROUP TICKETS ON SALE
Group tickets for the Niagara River Lions’ 10 Canadian Elite Basketball League regular season home games at the Meridian Centre are now on sale.
Prices start at $17 per ticket with attractive discount offers for large groups. They can be purchased by contacting the Niagara River Lions front office at 289-271-5905 or via email at tickets@riverlions.ca. Season tickets are also available online.
The River Lions open their season Thursday, May 9 on the road against the Saskatchewan Rattlers
BLACKHAWKS BLANK METEORS
The Thorold Blackhawks climbed back to the .500 mark with a convincing 5-0 win over the Fort Erie Meteors in a Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, Golden Horseshoe Conference game at Thorold Arena Thursday.
Chase Grsic made 27 saves for the shutout.
Sam VanderZalm led the Hawks with a goal and two assists while singles went to Nicolas Rubino, Jonah Devereux, Trevor Neumann and Dylan Latty.
The Blackhawks, 18-18-1-3, visit the Niagara Falls Canucks Friday.
The Meteors dropped to 10-25-0-3.
