Area sport: Spartans’ season over; Beechwood golf shots
The St. Catharines Spartans saw their season come to an end with a 12-9 loss at Six Nations.
The Rebels swept the best-of-three, Ontario Lacrosse Association junior B playoff series 3-0.
The Rebels jumped out to an 8-2 lead after one period but the Spartans rallied and cut the deficit to 9-8 after 40 minutes.
Mario Caito paced the Spartans with four goals while Sam LeClair added three. Connor Aquanno and John Kit also scored.
Tyson McCool made 33 saves in goal for the Spartans.
