DOUBLES TENNIS LEAGUE
The Niagara Peninsula Tennis Community’s Regional Doubles Tennis League begins seven weeks of play Oct. 15 at the Niagara Academy of Tennis, Youngs Sportsplex and The Club at White Oaks over the course of seven weeks.
The league was established to provide an avenue for tennis players of all levels from across the area to play competitive tennis with and against players of their own calibre in a fun and competitive environment.
Each team game consists of four matches of doubles. One team’s best doubles pairing will play against another team’s best pairing, their second best pairing will play against the other team’s second best pairing and so on.
“What makes this league great is that it has brought together all of the top players from Niagara and as a far east as Oakville,” Munzil Qureshi said. “We have many former NCAA Division 1 players, OUAA gold medalists, the best professional tennis coaches in the area and highly-ranked junior players are committed to playing.”
Admission is free and welcome to all league matches with special events planned and a tentative league banquet set for the end of the season.
