COVID postpones three IceDogs games
The Niagara IceDogs are back on the sidelines once again due to COVID.
The Ontario Hockey League announced Thursday that due to COVID-19 protocols affecting the IceDogs, three games this week have been postponed — Thursday versus Barrie, Friday at Mississauga and Saturday at home versus Kingston.
The games will be rescheduled at a later date. The league will provide an update on rescheduling information upon confirmation of new dates.
The league also announced Saturday’s game between Kitchener and host Erie has been postponed.
The IceDogs, 9-17-0-1 and 19th overall in the league, returned to action last week after missing five games due to COVID dating back to December.
The IceDogs’ next scheduled game is at home Tuesday, Jan. 17 versus Peterborough which is a make up game from their New Year’s Eve game which was postponed.
Due to current COVID-19 protocols, the IceDogs also announced Thursday their front office will be closed until further notice.
