Falcons continue to roll
The St. Catharines Falcons made it seven wins in a row with a 4-1 victory over the Fort Erie Meteors in a Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, Golden Horseshoe Conference game Friday at Jack Gatelciff Arena.
“We played a very good game structurally,” Falcons coach Dan Fitzgerald said. “We could have shot the puck more, but I was really happy with our attention to detail off the puck.”
Zach Lawrence, Hayden Broomhead, Michael Davies and Tristian deJong scored for the Falcons.
“I was happy with the team effort tonight,” Fitzgerald said. “There were no weak links tonight, which is huge.”
St. Catharines improved to 8-1, including four wins since Saturday and three in the last four days.
“It’s been a long week so it’s good to win all three,” Fitzgerald said.
The Falcons are now off until next Friday when they welcome the Pelham Panthers to Jack Gatecliff Arena.
