Following are top five results from the Niagara Region High School Athletic Association Zone 3 and 4 cross country meet held last week at Firemen’s Park in Niagara Falls.
The top runners advanced to this week’s Zone 3 and 4 meet Thursday at Firemen’s Park.
Para girls (3k): 1. Shannon Swinson, Beamsville (21:44).
Para boys (3k): 1. Owen Konkle, Beamsville (11:50); 2. Brian Knecktel, Beamsville; 3. Joseph Nokeo, Eden.
Midget girls (4k): 1. Tessa Jeffery, Crossley (16:21): 2. Molly Devereux, Greater Fort Erie; 3. Amy Baggs, Eden; 4. Lauren Brooks, Churchill; 5. Aria Heir, Grimsby. E.L. Crossley won the team title followed by Churchill.
Midget boys (4k): 1. Owen Lockyer, Eden (14:02.9); 2. Adam Woehl, Greater Fort Erie; 3. Tyler Woodland, Smithville Christian; 4. Brock Coffin, A.N. Myer; 5. Colton Sawasky, Crossley. Crossley won the team title followed by Churchill and Myer.
Junior girls (5k): 1. Brenna Ainslie, Westlane (20:31): 2. Sophie McMullin, Smithville Christian; 3. Annie Sterenberg, Great Lakes Christian; 4. Sydney Grummett, Crossley; 5. Paige Clement, Crossley. Westlane won the team title followed by Crossley and Churchill.

Senior girls (6k): 1. Kate Knafelc, Crossley (22:41); 2. Larissa Adamo, Myer; 3. Jessie Fennell, Crossley; 4. Kayleigh Bush, Myer; 5. Kaelen Partridge, Crossley. Crossley won the team title followed by Churchill and Myer.

BRONZE FOR BURKE
A.N. Myer’s Emily Burke fired rounds of 76 and 82 to win the bronze medal at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations girls golf festival at the North Bay Golf and Country Club.
It was the second straight OFSAA bronze for Ward, who finished two shots behind the winner, Taylor Kehoe from Strathroy.
Centennial’s Kayla Burke had a pair of 82s to place seventh.
Earlier, Ward and Burke fired a six under par 66 at the Spring Lake Golf Club in Stouffville to win the Golf Association of Ontario’s Women’s Four-Ball Championship.
At the OFSAA boys golf tournament at the Kingsville Golf and Country Club, Notre Dame’s Freddy D’Angelo tied for fifth with rounds of 71 and 75.
