Chad Thorpe netted 18 points to lead the Eden Flyers to a 74-44 victory over the Centennial Cougars at Centennial Wednesday on the opening day of the 67th Annual Welland Tribune Basketball Tournament

Matteo Scaglione scored 25 points Wednesday to lead the defending champion Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs to a 69-65 victory over the Saint Paul Patriots in opening round Tribune action at Centennial.
Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Will McAlpine 16, Jared Cook 8, Sawyer Neufeld 8, Danial Nunez Colombe 7 and Victor Obanure 4.

Nineteen points from Andrew Benko powered the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to an 84-25 victory over the Port Colborne Blue Bears in Round 1 Tribune action at Notre Dame.

The Holy Cross Raiders advanced to the Tribune quarter-finals Thursday with a narrow 59-57 victory over the Greater Fort Erie Gryphons Wednesday at Notre Dame.
