Jackfish add impact arm
The Welland Jackfish have added another arm to their pitching staff, signing right-handed pitcher Julian Tymochko for the 2023 season.
The Toronto native joins the Jackfish following time with the Trois-Rivières Aigles of the Frontier League. Before signing with the Aigles, Tymochko spent 2022 with the Okotoks Dawgs of the Western Canadian Baseball League. During that season he recorded a 3.44 ERA with 36 strikeouts and 18 walks.
“We are excited to add a hard-throwing righty of Julian’s calibre to our staff,” Jackfish general manager Jason McKay said. “No stranger to high-leverage innings, Tymochko will be called on to fill that role for the Jackfish.”
