Local wrestlers win eight OFSAA medals

Local wrestlers brought home one silver medal, five bronze medals and two antique bronze medals from the recent Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations wrestling championships in Hamilton.
Winning a silver medal was Arianna Romano (Centennial) at 41 kilograms.
Mining bronze medals were: Ezekiel Ivri, (A.N. Myer) at 51 kilograms; Daniel Taras (Lakeshore Catholic) at 54 kilograms: Seth Ozog (E.L. Crossley) at 83 kilograms; Hayley Weaver (Blessed Trinity) at 72 kilograms; and, Ella Andrews (E.L. Crossley) at 95 kilograms.
Andrews and Seth Ozog won OFSAA bronze medals for the second consecutive year.
Earning antique bronze were: Bianca Romano (Centennial) at 47.5 kilograms; and, Avery Barnett (Centennial) at 83 kilograms.
Placing fifth were: Heath Ozog, (E.L. Crossley) at 67.5 kilograms; Lily Taras (Lakeshore Catholic) at 44 kilograms; and, Myrna Romero (Notre Dame) at 57.5 kilograms.
Finishing sixth were: Kiran Ramburn (West Niagara) at 41 kilograms; Charlotte Bowslaugh (Eden) at 72 kilograms; and, Madison Hastie (A.N. Myer) at 115 kilograms.
In the team events, the Centennial girls were 10th.
