Niagara Juel/Juel Prep report: Juel 2-2, Prep 0-1
The Niagara Juel girls basketball team opened its season with four games at Notre Dame last weekend.
“The girls went 2-2. We were hoping to go 3-1 but overall we have a team that is new and we are all still getting to know each other,” Niagara head coach Frank Keltos said. “As the season moves on and we get more reps together, we will gel and hope to go on a run in the playoffs.”
Opening the season with four games in two days was a tough challenge for Niagara.
“I was happy with moments throughout the weekend but we need to be more consistent and play together as a team. Everyone has a different role in this team and needs to do their part. The girls are still figuring out what others like to do too,” he said. “We have two weeks to get better before our next weekend and we hope to continue to improve.”
