RegattaSport has been chosen as the official licensed merchandising partner for the Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games.
“The RFP (request for proposal) process canvassed previous Games’ suppliers, in addition to suppliers from across Canada and Niagara,” said Games chief revenue and marketing officer Steve Katzman. “In the end, the proposal from RegattaSport embodied the logistics as well as the spirit we were looking for”
“It was a bit of a David versus Goliath story in terms of us pursuing this opportunity but we knew we had the experience, desire and capability to go after it,” RegattaSport co-founder Joe Camillo said
OTTAWA JOINS CEBL
The Ottawa BlackJacks are the newest franchise in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.
The BlackJacks will join the league for the 2020 season and have signed a multi-year agreement with TD Place to host their games.
Ottawa joins Hamilton, Edmonton, Guelph, Fraser Valley, Hamilton, Niagara and reigning champion Saskatchewan.

Minor midgets still perfect
The Welland Tigers minor midget A hockey team improved to 8-0 in league play with a 4-0 win against the Glancaster Bombers.
Tyler Isherwood and Caleb Theriault each scored twice and assists were contributed by Dylan Coers (2), Brayden Flint (2), Ryan Kelly (2), Ethan Fox and Jacob Tessier.
Jacob Salmon notched the shutout.
Atoms triple Warriors
The Welland Shadow Auto Tigers minor atom A hockey team improved to 11-1 in divisional play after defeating the Stoney Creek Warriors 6-2.
Thomas Russell got the win in net for the Tigers while the offence was led by Ethan Rousseau (3-2-5), Kingsley Lachnit (1-2-3), Dylan Wood (1-1-2), Jordan Hotham (1-0-1), and Brody Channon, Blake Hudak and Antonio Mete with single assists.
Pelham edges major peewees
The Pelham Panthers edged the Welland Telus Tigers 2-1 in major peewee A action in Pelham.
Tyler Ray scored for Welland on an assist from Ryan Reeves.
Jonah Shapland and Gabriel Forte scored for Pelham to hand Welland its third loss of the season.
Minor peewees top Merritton
The Welland 91.7 Giant FM/Country 89 Tigers improved to 9-0-2 in Niagara District Peewee Belcot action by defeating the Merritton minor peewee AE Bulldogs 9-0.
Colby Franchetti, Tyler Laszlo and Julian Belcastro netted two goals apiece and Matteo Mete, Chace Buti, Miller Miotto and Tanner Cutler each scored once for Welland. Braxton Fleguel earned his first regular season shutout for the Tigers who ran their unbeaten streak to 15 games.
At the Boston Pizza Cup tournament in St. Thomas, the Tigers made it to the semifinals before losing 5-2 to Owen Sound. Belcastro and Franchetti scored in the loss.
On the way to the semifinals, Welland: lost 5-2 to St. Clair Shores (goals by Laszlo and Jonah Bello); tied the St. Thomas Stars (hat trick by Franchetti); tied the Owen Sound Attack 3-3 (Cutler two goals and Laszlo one); and blanked the Burlington Junior Cougars 3-0 (goals by Carson McComber, Jared Duerden and Franchetti, and shutout by Fleguel).
