OFSAA track roundup
Local athletes came away with 19 medals from the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Track and Field Championships over the weekend at York University in Toronto.
Thomas Dallman, a junior at Saint Michael Catholic High School in Niagara Falls, led the way earning a pair of gold medals in the junior boys discus and shot put.
Michael Ivanov of A.N. Myer captured a gold in the senior boys pole vault and a bronze in the high jump.
Matteo Tonnos of Eden High School earned a pair of silver medals in the novice boys 1,500 and 3,000 metres.
Coco Van Nynatten of Grimsby Secondary School earned a gold in the novice girls discus, a silver in the shot put and also placed fourth in the javelin.
E.L. Crossley’s Jack Brownlee earned gold in the novice boys javelin.
