Tigers spread their stripes

While student/athletes at Ridley College settle in and prepare for another year, several athletes from the 2019 class have moved on to post-secondary sport.
On the basketball court, Malcolm Bailey will attend Colgate University while co-male athlete of the year Jaden Bediako will be attending Santa Clara University. Anthony Daudu is off to the University of Toronto, Noah Wharton is at the University of Calgary, while Tomi Johnson will be attending McMaster. Local product Kennan Larmand will be playing at Niagara College.
Five rowers are also moving on: Lucy Black (Stanford), Nolan Biscaro (University of Pennsylvania), Erin Broski (Brock), Alex Cook (St. Francis Xavier) and Jack Petrunick (St. Francis Xavier).
Female athlete of the year Shailynn Snow will be playing hockey at St. Lawrence University while Janneke Watt will be skating for Western.
Boys hockey is sending seven players to junior.
A.J. Cook was signed by the Niagara IceDogs while co-male athlete of the year Max Blanchard will be playing for the Ottawa Jr. Senators of the Canadian Central Hockey League. Evan Johnson is off to the Hawksbury Hawks of the CCHL while Matt Keeley will be playing for the Wellington Dukes. Gleb Poliakov has signed with the St. Mary’s Lincolns of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League while Cole Spencer is with the Ottawa Jr. Senators. Cameron Warren is with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League while Noah Sedore has signed with the Erie Otters.
Future graduate hockey commitments for 2020 are Catherine Foulem to Boston University and Abby Grexton to Syracuse University.
