Weekend Junior B and C hockey report
The Pelham Panthers scored four unanswered goals in the third period Sunday to upset the Caledonia Corvairs 5-4 in Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, Golden Horseshoe Conference action.
Wyatt Thole netted the hat trick, including two goals in the third period, to help the Panthers knock off the first-place Corvairs. Michael Marchesan and Ben McChesney also scored for Pelham with McChesney adding four assists for a five-point night.
Dylan D’Agostino, Noah Caperchione, Danyk Drouin and Joel Mazzilli scored for Caledonia as the Corvairs outshot the Panthers 30-20 in the game.
Pelham improved to 11-17-0-2 with the win while Caledonia fell to 27-3-0-1.
CANUCKS 7 JUNIOR CANADIANS 2
The second-place Niagara Falls Canucks improved to 22-6-2-1 in Golden Horseshoe Conference play with a 7-2 road victory Sunday afternoon over the Welland Junior Canadians.
Justin Kyle led Niagara Falls with a goal and four assists while Andrew Bruno contributed a goal and three assists and Ryan Donovan potted a pair of goals and added an assist. Thomas Lenert and Jaleel Adams each contributed a goal and an assist and Matthew Riva dished out three assists.
Josh Di Francesco and Joshua McVeigh scored for Welland.
The last-place Junior Canadians felt to 4-22-3-1with the loss.
KILTY B’S 7 REGALS 2
Andrew Lukezic scored twice and added a helper to power the visiting Hamilton Kilty B’s to a 7-2 victory over the Buffalo Regals Sunday.
Terry Bridgland added a pair of goals for Hamilton and singles were netted by Eli Rivers, Jacon MacDonald and Christian Pelley.
Ryan Messing and Hunter Litman scored for Buffalo.
Fourth-place Hamilton improved to 17-11-2-1 while Buffalo dropped to 7-20-2-2 with the loss.
CORVAIRS 5 FALCONS 2
The Caledonia Corvairs scored the only three goals of the third period Saturday to hand the visiting St. Catharines Falcons a 5-2 loss.
Nick Giunta netted a pair of goals for the Corvairs and singles were recorded by Danyk Drouin, Zack Manazzone and Aidan Hughes (empty net).
Scoring goals for the third-place Falcons, who dropped to 20-8-2-0 with the loss, were Xavier Drummond and Curtis Egert.
METEORS 4 PANTHERS 3
The Fort Erie Meteors built a 4-1 lead after two periods before hanging on to a 4-3 victory over the visiting Pelham Panthers Saturday night.
Cail Cirillo, Jayden Baldinelli, Riley Sutherland and Anthony Gigliotti scored for the Meteors, who improved to 5-21-0-4 with the victory.
Wyatt Thole netted a pair of goals for the Panthers and Jack Merkosky added a single score.

The Hespeler Shamrocks defeated the visiting Niagara RiverHawks 6-0 in Provincial Junior Hockey League action Sunday.
Kyke Wagner netted two goals for Hespeler and single tallies were recorded by Austin Reilly, Ryan Frost, Kyle Yetman and Darrian Morgan.
Sixth-place Niagara fell to 10-15-0-2 with the loss.
RANGERS 1 PEACH KINGS 0
Connor McQuhae scored the only goal as Glanbrook Rangers defeated Grimsby Peach Kings in a battle for first place in the Provincial Junior Hockey League’s South Bloomfield Division.
Glanbrook improved to 22-8-0-0 while Grimsby fell to 19-6-0-3.
