The Welland Junior Canadians upset the Niagara Falls Canucks 2-1 in overtime in Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, Golden Horseshoe Conference action Sunday night at the Welland Arena.
Connor Thomson-Dick netted the winner at 3:42 of the first overtime period.
Following a scoreless first period, Zach Mambella gave Niagara Falls a 1-0 lead early in the second before Patrick Cole quickly tied things up at 1-1.
Keegan Jackson made 32 saves in goal for the win.
Riley George kicked out 38 shots in a losing effort for the Canucks.
Before the game, the Junior Canadians retired sweater No. 12 in honour of former player and coach Mark Forster.
Corvairs 7 Meteors 3
Noah Baltzer had three goals and Ethan Doyle two as the Caledonia Corvairs defeated the visiting Fort Erie Meteors Sunday.
Jacob Macdonald and Terry Bridgland added singles for the winners.
Ethan Langevin made 30 saves in goal for the win.
Joseph Macchione had two goals and Antonino Pugliese one for the Mets.
Josh Smith faced 40 shots in goal for Fort Erie.
The teams were also scheduled to square off Saturday in Fort Erie but the game was postponed due to high winds.

Kilty B’s 4 Hawks 1
The Hamilton Kilty B’s won for the 24th time in 26 games with a victory over the visiting Thorold Blackhawks.
Nolan Underwood had two goals for the winners while Justin Monteith and Dylan Abbamont added singles.
Nathan Kelly scored Thorold’s lone goal.
Braedyn McIntosh made 33 saves for Hamilton.
Nico Balice made 23 saves for the Hawks.
