Westlane’s athletic award winners
Christina Grimo was named Westlane’s senior female athlete of the year.
Christina Grimo and Aaron Nguyen were named Westlane Secondary School’s senior female and male athletes of the year.
Winning junior athlete of the year honours were Jordan Nguyen and Amy Edwards
Leslie and Neslie Ombao were the female winners of the Spartan Spirit and Athletics Award and Isaiah Vanegas was the male winner.
“Thank you to all of our coaches for volunteering your time and effort and thank you to our supporting staff members and custodians who work behind the scenes to help maintain our playing facilities,” wrote Shonesee Devereux, Westlane’s program leader of health and physical education. “To our Spartan athletes, thank you for your hard work and dedication to sport. Our school motto of ‘Success Despite Adversity’ couldn’t ring more true as we continue to move forward together while adapting to our current global circumstances.”

Junior boys football: Chris Pettorossi, offensive MVP; Michael Grimo, defensive MVP.
Senior boys football: Isaiah Vanegas and Jeffrey Vujovic, MVPs.
